Keeping active is very important on any site, but especially when you are trying to get noticed, or get your work noticed. The more visible you are, the more likely others are going to notice you and your work. Keep your work current. Visitors like to see that you are live on the site, or that you were just there recently. This gives a certain welcoming feeling. On eHow, it is just as important for your articles to be current. The more you are updating your work, the more often you are getting crawled by the search engines, also. This is good for all your articles, past and present. In order for your work to show up on search engines such as Google, Yahoo, or Bing, it has to be crawled. When it is crawled, the search engines are just looking through your articles for keywords. This way when someone searches, they can find your article. Hope this helps, and I will keep trying to post here as often as I can.
